About this role
Core Tech Team | Singapore and Hong Kong
We are seeking a proactive Workspace Technology Engineer to provide end-user support. This role demands a strong problem-solver with excellent communication skills, capable of managing a range of hardware, software, and AV support issues. You’ll be the key interface between IT and the business, contributing to both day-to-day operations and greenfield projects. The ideal candidate will take initiative to analyze problems, propose solutions, and see them through to implementation while working alongside the team.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the initial point of contact for Workspace Technology issues, managing and resolving problems based on priority and severity.
Ensure continuous availability of computing resources for end-users, coordinating with IT resources for escalated issues when necessary.
Support cloud environments including servers, networks, and applications as needed.
Provide timely resolutions via phone, email, or in-person support.
Build, deploy, and manage Workspace Technology devices (including imaging, antivirus systems, application maintenance, patching, and system rollouts).
Lead system orientation for new hires and manage end-user devices such as laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
Document processes, standards, configurations, and procurement details, ensuring records are up to date.
Collaborate with the wider Workspace Technology team and Technology Team resources for comprehensive problem resolution.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
2-5 years of end-user or infrastructure support experience in a professional services environment.
Fundamental understanding of Microsoft 365 (M365) setup and management within an organization.
Good knowledge of hardware, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
Strong customer service orientation and a passion for helping end-users resolve issues efficiently.
The ability to remain calm under pressure and handle urgent situations with professionalism.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively in both independent and team settings.
Nice-to-Haves
Experience with supporting users in the financial industry or on the trading floor.
Strong technical background with the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues efficiently.
Experience with Azure Active Directory, Windows, Unix environments, desktop, and server hardware.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS (certifications are an advantage).
Knowledge of PowerShell, scripting, or coding is highly desirable.
