About this role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our multi-strategy hedge fund team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both backend and frontend technologies, with a deep understanding of building scalable systems and intuitive web applications from the ground up. The role demands an individual who thrives in challenging environments, is passionate about technology, and is eager to drive advancements in the hedge fund landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Development: Build, develop, and maintain full-stack applications that are scalable, efficient, and secure.

• Backend Expertise: Design, optimize, and implement backend services, APIs, and microservices, ensuring high performance and reliability.

• Frontend Expertise: Develop responsive and user-centric interfaces using modern front-end frameworks.

• Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with team members across disciplines, mentor junior engineers, and foster best practices.

• Production Support: Demonstrate strong ownership by quickly addressing production issues and communicating resolutions clearly to stakeholders.

• Versatility: Adapt to various roles as required, including hands-on coding, architectural discussions, and system optimizations.

• Continuous Improvement: Drive improvements in code quality, testing, CI/CD, and infrastructure.

Requirements 

• Bachelors' or above in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Minimum of 7-8 years of experience in software development.

• Backend:

  • Strong experience in Python (required), with bonus points for Rust, C++, or a JVM language (Java/Scala).

• Frontend:

  • Expertise in modern front-end stacks such as React.js/Redux, TypeScript, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS.

• Self-driven with a strong sense of ownership & bias for action.

Nice-to-Haves 

• Familiarity with finance and trading domain, particularly in multi-strategy hedge funds, is a significant plus.

• Experience working in full-stack development including but not limited to server-side programming, RESTful API / GraphQL development, etc.

• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, AWS/GCP, CDNs, etc.

• Integration experience with financial systems such as Bloomberg API.

• Experience in developing complex distributed systems or building sizable applications from scratch.
