Job Title: Middle Office Operations Intern
Location: Hong Kong (preferred) or Singapore (considered for the right candidate)

Employment Type: Internship (3 months, potential extension to 6 months)
Experience Level: Pursuing or recently completed a degree in finance, economics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field
Key Responsibilities
Assist the team with daily middle office workflows, including trade capture, lifecycle events, and reconciliation of positions and cash.
Support manual data entry, document management, and other paperwork required by operations and compliance under supervision.
Help process trade confirmations, settlement instructions, and physical document filing as part of the team’s workflow.
Aid in exception handling and issue resolution across desks and with counterparties, following established procedures.
Contribute to process automation and efficiency projects using coding and scripting skills, exercising care not to replace team decision-making.
Participate in data analysis and reporting for risk and performance dashboards, under the guidance of senior staff.
Collaborate with technology and business teams on system improvements as directed.
Document procedures, processes, and system changes in collaboration with teammates.
Respond to ad hoc requests and regulatory/compliance data needs as assigned.
Work under time constraints and help the team meet daily deadlines, while maintaining quality and accuracy.
Key Requirements
Pursuing or recently completed degree in finance, economics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field.
Solid finance knowledge: understanding of trade lifecycle, financial instruments, and basic risk concepts.
Proficiency in Python, SQL, or similar languages for automation and data handling.
Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
Effective communication and teamwork; willingness to learn and collaborate with the team.
Eligible to work in Hong Kong or Singapore (visa/permit requirements to be confirmed).
Comfortable with performing supervised manual tasks and paperwork as part of the team’s workflow.
