Junior Quantitative Developer

We are seeking a junior quant developer to join our multi-strategy hedge fund team. The role is ideal for those who aspire to learn systematic trading platform in a high performing hedge fund environment.

You will be responsible for the development and enhancement of the full workflow of a cross-asset investment platform. You will collaborate closely with PMs and tech teams to ensure the robustness and reliability of the systems that drive our trading performance.

Your work will involve developing data infrastructure, cross asset trading platform, optimizing algos and processes, and collaborating with a high-performing tech team. You may also be involved in developing backtesting tools and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining historical and live data infrastructure.

• Collaborating with tech team to maintain system connection, stability and performance.

• Developing and optimizing algorithms for cross asset securities and derivatives pricing, risk management, and trading analytics and reports.

• Developing and optimizing of live trading platforms.

Requirements

• 2 – 5 years of experience in a large technology firm.

• Experience in some or all of below areas – creating, storing, maintaining big data, alternative datasets, web-scraping, optimization, Machine Learning models.

• Professional experience in Python development.

• Proficiency in AWS cloud services

• Familiarity with APIs

• Experience, knowledge or interest on FICC markets and products, pricing and risk management is a plus

• Strong problem-solving abilities in high-pressure, fast-paced environments

• Computer science, statistics, physics, maths PhD or high performing masters/bachelors in an established university.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with alternative datasets

• Comfortable with large datasets and live data streaming.

• Enthusiastic about finance and trading.
