Compliance Intern (3-Month)
About the role
The Compliance team plays an important role in supporting Arrowpoint’s business and ensuring that the firm operates in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal standards. Working closely with investment and business teams across the firm, the Compliance team is responsible for areas including regulatory licensing, employee compliance, monitoring and controls, regulatory filings, due diligence, policies and procedures, and engagement with relevant regulators.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern, based in either our Hong Kong or Singapore office, to support the Compliance team across a range of regulatory, licensing and compliance activities.
As a Compliance Intern, you will support the team in areas including:
Regulatory & Licensing
• Assist with the preparation and submission of licensing applications, including compiling supporting documentation and tracking application progress against regulatory timelines.
• Support the maintenance of licensing and regulatory records.
• Assist with research on relevant regulatory developments and requirements.
Employee Compliance & Training
• Maintain and monitor Continuing Professional Training (CPT) and other staff training records to support compliance with applicable licensing and regulatory requirements.
• Follow up with employees on outstanding compliance certifications, Personal Account Dealing (PAD) statements and other required submissions.
• Track outstanding items and escalate overdue submissions to the Compliance team where appropriate.
Due Diligence & Monitoring
• Support vendor due diligence by collecting and reviewing documentation, tracking outstanding information and highlighting potential issues for further review.
• Assist with maintaining and reconciling compliance logs, registers and trackers, including corporate access records, training records and certification records.
• Support accurate and complete record-keeping for audit and regulatory purposes.
Projects & Regulatory Support
• Support compliance projects, internal or external audits and regulatory reviews as required.
• Assist with research and implementation of new or updated compliance procedures.
• Provide support on other ad hoc compliance projects and initiatives as assigned.
What We’re Looking For?
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Law, Business, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Public Policy or a related discipline.
• Strong academic performance.
• Demonstrated interest in governance, risk, regulation and compliance.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Proactive, responsible and willing to learn.
• Comfortable working with detailed information and following up on outstanding matters.
• Prior compliance or financial services experience is helpful but not required.
