Cloud | DevOps Engineer

About this role 

We are seeking a seasoned Cloud | DevOps Engineer who excels in high-pressure situations and is passionate about pushing the boundaries of financial technology. The ideal candidate will thrive on quick cycles of prototyping and iterative development, aiming for operational excellence in a dynamic hedge fund environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage mission-critical systems in high-stress situations 

• Be versatile and willing to wear multiple hats as needed 

• Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members 

• Mentor and guide Junior Engineers while fostering best practices 

• Work independently, showcasing a strong sense of ownership and self-drive 

Requirements 

• Strong expertise in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Cloudformation

• Configure and manage various AWS services like VPC, EC2, S3, DynamoDB, Lambda,
  Transit Gateway etc

• Able to work independently for a given project around Cloud, Devops and SRE function

• Strong understanding of AWS Networking

• Good understanding of security best practices to protect cloud infrastructure and data

• Experience with CI/CD framework like GitHub actions or AWS CodePipeline etc.

• Optimize cloud costs and recommend cost-saving measures.

• Collaborate with Developers and Portfolio Managers

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in managing and scaling infrastructure

• Be present at the office at least 4 times a week

Nice-to-Haves 

• Integration experience with financial systems such as Bloomberg API (Strong plus)

• Proficiency in at least one JVM language (Java, Kotlin, Scala) 

• Experience with Python or Rust 

• Track record of developing complex distributed systems or building sizable applications from scratch
